The record gives a drawbridge in Tokyo and foreign visitors there as its subjects, though it carries only a generic title. Those subject tags point to the decades from 1850 to 1900, when Japan was opening to outside trade and the city was still called Edo until 1868. The attribution to Isoda Koryūsai, who was active from 1764 to 1788, does not match the 1750 date, so the dating should be treated as provisional. The notes also file the sheet under botanicals, which is worth keeping in mind when reading the image.
