A drawbridge in Tokyo, shown with foreign visitors, is the subject catalogued for this drawing, which sets it apart from the many Japanese prints in the collection. The record credits Isoda Koryūsai, an Edo-based ukiyo-e artist active from the 1760s to the 1780s and best known for woodblock prints of women and urban life. The date given, 1750, and the subject range of 1850 to 1900 do not match that artist's working years, so the timing is uncertain and worth checking against the catalog.
