The title, *Fūki kusa sono no yūran*, names a garden and a leisurely outing, and the three sheets are joined into one tall vertical view, a format that suits a stroll through a landscape. The record does not name the artist or the specific garden. Dated to roughly 1849 to 1852, the print belongs to the late Edo period, when color woodblock printmakers produced garden and landscape scenes for townspeople who enjoyed visiting famous gardens. Reading across the panels, the viewer follows paths and plantings from one sheet to the next, much as a visitor would move through the grounds.
