A color woodcut titled with a proverb meaning that a girl's kindness can sometimes surpass a gentleman's, the print turns a moral saying into a scene of charity toward the poor, with clothing and dress as recurring themes. It was designed and revised by Toshichika and engraved by Koizumi Minokichi, and the record marks it as number 12 in a series. Printed on hōsho paper, it reflects the tradition of Japanese woodblock prints that used everyday virtues and proverbs as subjects for popular audiences. The record dates it to 1850, though it gives the engraver's lifespan as 1833 to 1906.
