A drawbridge in Tokyo, shown with foreign visitors, sets this drawing apart from the many bridge views on the board. The catalog dates it to 1750 and credits Isoda Koryūsai, who is recorded as working between 1764 and 1788, while its subject headings place the scene between 1850 and 1900, so the date should be read with caution. Koryūsai was an Edo ukiyo-e artist known for figure studies, and the drawing came to the Library of Congress as part of the David Murray Collection.
