Unlike the broad landscape sheets, this is a pillar print, a tall, narrow vertical format, and its subject is Enoshima, a small island off the coast of Kanagawa Prefecture. Pilgrims from Edo made the trip to its shrine dedicated to the goddess Benzaiten, crossing a sandbar at low tide to reach the island. The catalog's dates and artist attributions are inconsistent, but the subject headings point to the late Edo period, roughly the 1840s to 1860s, when shrine pilgrimage and woodblock views of famous places were both popular.
