The page centers on a large Yellowstone Park coach, the open-sided touring wagon that carried visitors along the park's rough roads, often pulled by teams of six horses. Northern Pacific Railway used its promotional booklets, which the company called "Wonderland" after the park's nickname, to sell rail travel to the region. Such illustrations helped passengers picture the stagecoach leg of the trip that began at the railroad's terminus and ended at the park's hotels and geyser basins.
