A small engraved sheet from a New York edition of *Goody Two-Shoes*, a children's tale that the record describes as illuminated with ten pictures. The story of a poor girl who earns a pair of shoes and grows up to be a schoolmistress was first printed in London around 1765, usually credited to the bookseller John Newbery, and it became one of the most reprinted children's books of the period. American publishers issued their own editions, often with new woodcuts or engravings, so this print shows how an English moral tale was adapted for a local readership. The record does not give a date, so the exact year of publication is unknown.
