The statue of Abraham Lincoln in Lincoln Park, on Capitol Hill, is a bronze tribute to the president that stands among the park's paths and trees a short walk east of the Capitol. This glass negative was made around 1918 to 1920 by the National Photo Company, a Washington firm that produced views of the city's monuments and streets for postcards and sale to visitors. Its emulsion shows the streaks and blemishes common to aging glass plates, which give the image a softened, historic look. The record's title is unverified, so the statue's exact identity should be confirmed before it is cited.
