This tall color lithograph advertises a New York production of John Drinkwater's play *Abraham Lincoln*, a drama about the president that had opened in London in 1918 before reaching American audiences. The producer, William Harris Jr., put his name at the top of the sheet, and the poster was printed by T.J. Hayes Print Co. of New York. It is signed by C.B. Falls, an artist known for theatrical posters of the period. Its size and bold color were typical of the large display sheets used to draw attention to Broadway plays in the years after World War I.
