Fourteen performers, eight men and six women, are arranged across this sheet to advertise the Livingstone, Davene & De Mora troupe of acrobats, posturers and hand balancers. The troupe was billed as part of the Adam Forepaugh and Sells Brothers show, a combined circus formed when two traveling shows merged in the 1890s. Like much circus advertising of the period, the sheet was a color lithograph printed by the Courier Company of Buffalo, New York, which produced many of the crowded, eye-catching posters that announced American circuses to small-town crowds.
