Two sheets printed as a diptych give this color woodcut its particular character, with the composition spanning both halves instead of sitting on a single page. The engraver is recorded as Matsushima Seikichi, and the Library of Congress holds it among its Japanese prints and drawings. Its subject heading is "ethnic groups," a category that in Edo-period printing often covered depictions of peoples from outside the main Japanese population or of distinct communities within the country. The record gives 1750 as the date, but its subject range is 1800 to 1850, so the period is worth checking before citing it.
