The poster's title frames a remark as coming from the Republic's president, "this is a lot, a lot," and the record links the wording to a speech by Juan Negrín, who headed the government in 1937. It was printed in color lithograph in Valencia, which served as the Republican government's seat for part of that year, and it carries the imprint of the UGT and CNT, the Socialist and anarchist labor federations. Posters like this one, at roughly 66 by 89 centimeters, were pasted on walls to rally civilian support during the Spanish Civil War.
