The Centennial Balloon View of the Grounds offers a bird's-eye look at a fairground laid out for the Centennial Exposition, the world's fair held in Philadelphia in 1876 to mark the nation's hundredth year of independence. Captured from a tethered balloon high above the site, the view shows how the exhibition buildings, walkways and gardens were arranged across Fairmount Park.
