The only names and dates we have for this plate are F.A. Marrias and February 17, 1923, and the title comes from unverified data on the negative sleeve, so the subject itself remains uncertain. The negative belongs to the National Photo Company, a Washington, D.C. studio whose large body of early twentieth-century glass plates came to the Library of Congress as a gift in 1947. Glass negatives like this were the standard way to make prints in that period, and the streaks and blemishes on the plate are typical of coatings that have deteriorated over time.
