Plate XXII of Frank Lloyd Wright's Wasmuth portfolio shows the living room of B. Harley Bradley's suburban house in Kankakee, Illinois, a design the record dates to somewhere between 1893 and 1909. Berlin publisher Ernst Wasmuth issued the set in 1910, introducing Wright's houses and public buildings to a European audience. The drawing reflects the horizontal lines, built-in furnishings, and carefully arranged interior spaces that Wright developed across his Prairie School houses. The linework was reproduced photomechanically for the printed volume, so the fine detail of the original pen drawing survives.
