Taken at Hilltop Park in Upper Manhattan, home of the New York Highlanders, this photograph shows Nixey Callahan in his role as manager of the Chicago White Sox, the "Chisox" of the original caption. The Bain News Service, a commercial photo agency that supplied pictures to newspapers, made the glass negative. The title and 1912 date were later researched by the Society for American Baseball Research, so they reflect that later work rather than a note made at the time.
