This photograph from 1933 shows Franklin D. Roosevelt aboard the Amberjack with his sons James, Franklin Jr., and John, a family outing from the months just before he took office as president. Yachting and deep-sea fishing were among Roosevelt's favorite pastimes, and he often used trips like this to rest and spend time with his family. Visitors browsing this board of Theodore Roosevelt images should note that the two men were distant relatives, not the same person: Franklin was a fifth cousin of Theodore, and he later married Theodore's niece, Eleanor.
