The 1913 date is a later researched estimate, not a stamped date. That season matters because Ebbets Field opened in April 1913, giving the club a new home after its years at Washington Park. Bain News Service, a New York photo agency, produced many news pictures of this period, and its glass negatives remain a useful record of early twentieth-century baseball.
