Charles Ebbets and Edward McKeever, who jointly owned the Brooklyn National League club, appear here together with Mrs. McKeever, identified in the record as Jennie Veronica McKeever. The picture is probably from early April 1913, when the team was preparing to move into the new Ebbets Field, which opened that month. Bain News Service, a New York photo agency, made and distributed the glass negative, so it reflects the press photography of the day. Portraits of club owners with their wives were less common than player shots, which makes this one useful for seeing the men who ran the franchise.
