Baden-Baden, the spa town in the Black Forest foothills of southwestern Germany, has drawn visitors to its thermal springs since Roman times, and by the 1890s it was one of Europe's most fashionable resorts. This photochrom print, numbered 1345 in the series of German views, captures the town as tourists of the period would have wanted to remember it.
