The title names the Roosevelt family as a whole rather than any one member, and the record does not say which relatives appear or where the sitting took place. The image survives as a glass negative from the George Grantham Bain Collection at the Library of Congress. Bain News Service, a New York photo agency, supplied pictures of public figures to newspapers in the early twentieth century, and its negatives often carried the titles that its staff wrote on caption cards. Because those titles were not always checked, the family name here should be treated as a working identification.
