Ask about licensing or this print

A German-language certificate titled *Geburts und Taufschein* (birth and baptism certificate) records a family event in a form typical of church and household life among German speakers. Such certificates were often printed or hand-decorated and given to a child after baptism, a custom that German-speaking immigrants brought to Pennsylvania and other parts of America. The shelflist card links the item to a name, A. Köllner, but it gives no date, so the maker and the exact origin remain unconfirmed.
