A clubhouse in Grosse Pointe, the lakeside suburb northeast of Detroit on Lake St. Clair, is the subject of this 8 by 10 inch glass negative, made between about 1900 and 1910. The record gives the club's name only in a bracketed title taken from the jacket, so the specific club is not confirmed. The negative belongs to the Detroit Publishing Company's body of work, a commercial firm that photographed the region's towns, resorts and institutions.
