Al Hirschfeld's caricature of Carol Burnett and Dick Shawn sets this poster apart from the other theater posters on the board, since the drawing itself is the main attraction. It advertises *Fade Out - Fade In*, the 1964 Broadway musical about a Hollywood studio in the 1940s, with a score by Jule Styne. Hirschfeld's ink line work, with its exaggerated features and hidden daughter's-name tricks, made him the most recognized theater caricaturist of the era. The poster was printed by Artcraft Lithographing & Printing Co. in New York.
