Crews hauling logs toward a railway siding give this scene its focus, the slow work of moving timber from the woods to the cars that would carry it to market. The title names the Keystone Lumber Co., but the record does not say where the camera stood. The glass negative dates from roughly 1900 to 1910, when the Detroit Publishing Company was issuing many western views, some tied to railroad promotion, and logging lines like this one fed sawmills across the Rocky Mountain region. The State Historical Society of Colorado donated the negative in 1949.
