Calling men to a single Scottish town, this poster asks them to join the 3rd/5th Black Watch at Forfar. It carries only text over a background of Black Watch tartan, so the regiment's identity comes through the cloth pattern rather than through pictures of soldiers. Printed around 1915, when Britain still relied on volunteers before conscription began in 1916, it reflects the local, regimental appeal that recruiting drives used to reach men in their own communities. The tartan links the call to the Highland military tradition that the Black Watch carried.
