Titled in Spanish as *Mano poderosa ayudanos*, or "Hand of power, help us," this 1997 sheet by Enrique Chagoya is numbered 9 of an edition of 30. The image was built from six lithographic plates and three hand-cut woodblocks, printed on thin Thai mulberry paper, with washes and crayon added on the reverse. Chagoya, a Mexico-born artist, often mixes Mexican and Catholic imagery with comic-book and art-historical forms to comment on power and faith.
