Isham's own portrait fills the upper left corner of this 1896 color lithograph, placing the producer's name at the front of a crowded sheet. The poster was printed by the Strobridge Lithograph Company of Cincinnati and New York for John W. Isham and his partner Graff, who staged *Oriental America* as a musical revue. Its chorus girls and crowd scenes reflect the taste for lavish 1890s stage spectacles, and the show is notable for being built around Black performers at a time when they were often confined to caricature on stage and in print. The caption's reference to *Fantaisies d'Orient* points to the exotic setting that gave the production its appeal.
