Billed as "the biggest vaudeville attraction in America," this color lithograph announces a return engagement by Hardeen, the "King of Handcuffs." Hardeen (1876-1945) was the younger brother of Harry Houdini and performed many of the same restraint escapes on the stage. The heading names B.F. Keith, whose vaudeville circuit helped make variety entertainment respectable and family-friendly in the early twentieth century. The poster promotes a week beginning Monday, March 9 at one of Keith's houses.
