Catalogued as a single drawing, this sheet is tied in its record to drawbridges in Tokyo and to foreign visitors there, subjects that point to the late 1800s. The record also gives 1750 as the date, which predates the years the artist Isoda Koryūsai is known to have worked (about 1764 to 1788), so that date is best treated as uncertain. Koryūsai worked in the Edo period, when the city was still called Edo; it was renamed Tokyo in 1868, the start of growing foreign contact. A botanical note in the record is another detail worth checking against the sheet itself.
