Children marking up a father's artwork is the mischief this card stages under the title *Drawing papa's picture*. It is numbered 1438 in a series of humorous stereographs issued around 1906 by the Standard Scenic Company of Meadville, Pennsylvania. Comic scenes like this were popular parlor entertainment in the early 1900s, when viewers held paired photographs up to a stereoscope to see them in three dimensions. The joke about unruly children depends on the viewer recognizing the moment of trouble at a glance.
