Enniskerry, in County Wicklow, lies at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains near the Powerscourt estate, whose waterfall drew visitors from Dublin in the 1800s. This print was made by the photochrom process, a Swiss method that produced color images from several printed plates, and it was issued in the United States by the Detroit Publishing Company. The firm sold views like this one as travel souvenirs around 1900. Notice the soft, layered tints, which give the scene a painted quality.
