This color album cover for *Relocation*, credited to XIT and MK-Lomawywesa, comes from around 1977 and carries a Canyon Records copyright. Canyon, based in Phoenix, Arizona, was known for recordings by Native American musicians, and its covers gave contemporary Native artists a way to present their music to buyers. The title evokes the forced removal of Native peoples onto reservations, a history that shaped the lives of many families in the 20th century. The Library of Congress holds the print, which was reproduced in its 1996 resource guide on Indian and Alaska Native peoples.
