Addressed to donors at 70 Fifth Avenue in New York, this 1918 lithograph by Boardman Robinson asks Americans to send money for the women and children left behind in Serbia. The country had been occupied during World War I, and after the Serbian army's winter retreat across Albania in 1915, its civilian population faced severe hunger and disease. Posters like this one were part of a wider effort by American relief committees to raise money for war-stricken Allied nations.
