The center caption, "Just before the battle," gives this card a playful, combative tone that sets it apart from the more straightforward player portraits on the board. It is a Hassan Triple Folder, one of the T202 cards that the American Tobacco Company packed with its Hassan cigarettes in 1912. The folding format let a single card show three panels, which made it a novelty for collectors who opened the packs. The card was later preserved in the Benjamin K. Edwards Collection, which is why it survives in such good color today.
