Cards like this one were tucked into cigarette packs, and the Hassan Triple Folders were a distinctive format: a single card that unfolded into three panels, so a collector could view several players or scenes at once. This example was issued in 1912 by the American Tobacco Company and carries a center caption reading "Wheat strikes out," a rare bit of play-by-play text on a card of this period. The title was supplied by Library of Congress staff, and the piece belongs to the Benjamin K. Edwards Collection of baseball cards.
