Ty Cobb sliding into third base is the focus of this 1912 card, one of the Hassan Triple Folders issued by the American Tobacco Company. The folding design let a single card carry three panels, and the central photo is captioned "Ty Cobb steals third," while a second caption on the card names Geo. Moriarity. Cards like these came packed with cigarettes, and today they preserve a vivid view of the early stars who helped make baseball the national pastime. The card belongs to the Benjamin K. Edwards Collection of baseball cards.
