This panoramic view, about 10 by 30 inches, stands apart from the square and upright street scenes on the board because of its long, narrow format. E. Chickering & Co. submitted the print for copyright in 1903, and the Library of Congress retained it as a copyright deposit. It was printed on silver printing-out paper, a process common for photographic work of the period. The title was devised by the cataloger, so the record does not name the exact street, but the subject is a commercial thoroughfare in Boston around 1903, when horse-drawn wagons and electric streetcars shared busy city blocks.
