Identified in the record as Theodore Roosevelt Jr., eldest son of the 26th president, this glass negative comes from the Bain News Service, a New York press agency whose photographers supplied city newspapers for decades. The record gives no date, and the name is flagged as unverified, so the sitter should be confirmed before citing. Roosevelt Jr. later served as governor of Puerto Rico and governor-general of the Philippines, and he received the Medal of Honor posthumously for his actions in Normandy in 1944.
