This poster addresses men in Wales in their own language, laying out the "group system" of Lord Derby's recruiting scheme. Men aged 18 to 41, single or married, were asked to enlist at the nearest recruiting office, and they would then be called up with their groups, with the one-month notice running from the day they joined. The scheme began in autumn 1915 as an attempt to raise the army through voluntary enlistment. Its reopening in January 1916 came as Parliament moved toward conscription. The poster was printed in London by Roberts & Leete for the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee.
