Printed in Seville under the slogan "Nacional sindicalismo," this lithograph and woodcut carries the doctrine of the Falange, the Spanish movement that joined the Nationalist coalition during the civil war. Seville fell to the rebel forces in July 1936 and became a Nationalist center, and its propaganda office produced posters like this one in the war's early years. The record pairs country and city life as its subjects, which suggests the poster presented a single corporate order that would bind farmers and townspeople alike under state direction.
