A Vienna exhibition called *Kriegsbilder*, or *War Pictures*, is announced in this 1918 color lithograph, which measures 96 by 62 centimeters. The designer, W. Dachauer, was an Austrian artist working in the graphic style of the period, and the poster shows how the war was presented to the public at home. Vienna in 1918 was close to the end of the Habsburg monarchy, so an exhibition of war imagery held there carries the weight of that moment. The copy came to the Library of Congress from the Rehse Archive for Contemporary History and Publicistics, a German collection of printed ephemera.
