Titled simply *Roosevelt Library*, this 1947 serigraph most likely depicts the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library at Hyde Park, New York, which opened in 1941 as the first presidential library in the United States. The record does not confirm the building, and it files the work under Theodore Roosevelt, so the identification is an inference. The print is signed and dated in ink on the image. Serigraphy, a stencil-based screen process, was widely used by American printmakers in the 1940s because it produced flat areas of color in small editions.
