This WPA silkscreen poster from 1936 invites travelers to Montana under the banner "See America," a slogan of the Federal Art Project's tourism campaigns. Arthur Rothstein, a photographer better known for his Farm Security Administration pictures, is credited here, and the image pairs a tipi with the state's open landscape to sell the idea of the West as a destination. The poster's verso bears a September 1938 date stamp, showing it was circulated or filed two years after it was designed. Its Library of Congress record places it within the larger WPA Poster Collection, where many such works promoted regional tourism during the Depression.
