Officers massed their colors at this K.T. parade, most likely a procession of Knights Templar, the Masonic order whose members marched in full regalia through American cities in the early twentieth century. The title comes from the Bain News Service caption card and has not been independently verified, but it points to a moment when the officers at the head of the column gathered their flags into a single display. The glass negative came from the Bain News Service, a New York agency that sold news pictures to newspapers, so it was probably made for quick publication rather than as a formal portrait. No date is recorded, so the picture is best placed in the general period of the agency's work in the early twentieth century.
