Massed colors" refers to a ceremony in which many flags are gathered and displayed together, and the "K.T." in the title most likely points to a Knights Templar parade, though that identification comes from unverified caption data. The Bain News Service, a New York photo agency active from about 1899 into the early 1930s, sold pictures of parades, disasters and public figures to newspapers, and its glass plates record the crowds and uniforms of that era. With no date recorded, the exact event is hard to pin down, but the scene still shows how fraternal and civic processions were staged in the early twentieth century.
