This National Park Service poster, titled *His Hunting Ground of Yesterday*, shows a Native American hunter set against a wide western landscape, a visual claim that the parks preserved land once central to Indigenous life. Dorothy Waugh's design belongs to the National Park Service's 1930s public relations effort, when the agency sought to win public support by linking the parks to America's history and natural beauty. The poster was lithographed by the Burland Printing Co. in New York, and it was later shown in the 2007 exhibition *American Treasures of the Library of Congress*. Its strong flat color and simplified forms are typical of commercial poster art of the period.
