This view of the Western & Southern Life Insurance Co. in Cincinnati is tied to a specific corporate headquarters rather than a generic street scene. Taken sometime between 1910 and 1920, it also records construction activity and the traffic of an office-lined downtown street. The Detroit Publishing Company, which sent photographers across the country to document cities and industry in the early twentieth century, made it as an 8 by 10 inch glass dry plate negative.
