Roltair's Arabian Nights Up To Date was staged at Dreamland, the lavish amusement park on Coney Island that opened in 1904 and was destroyed by fire in 1911. This 1907 image is a halftone reproduction of a photoprint that appeared in Billboard, the entertainment trade weekly, in July of that year, so it shows how stage attractions were promoted to the trade. The caption card's subject tags also name aviators, automobiles and Hazel Lake, though those details are unverified. Parks like Dreamland drew crowds with spectacle, and printed images like this one helped carry that appeal well beyond the grounds.
